the Rocket choose who?
IMO, which means crap, I would think that the Rocket will be looking to snag a FW with their 1st pick.
Perhaps a player like, Gabriel Bourque.
Bourque is noted for his hard work, and his aggressive style. Strong for his size, (5-8, 170lbs) Bourque comes to play every game and plays a hard aggressive game. A winger with some skill, Bourque being a '90 born, could be able to step in right away.
Perhaps Lala or others could shed some light on Bourque or some other FW prospects that may be around when the Rocket take the podium.

Would be kind of nice to see another Bonneau in the line up. Of course I don't expect him to drop the gloves like Jimmy did. I might even consider trading the pick for some later picks in round 2 and 3.

From what Ive heard you guys are going off the board.
Bourque and Bonneau would both be good picks though...i think Bonneau will be gone before #11 though.
In my personal Mock Draft I have you guys taking Nicolas Deschamps from CC-Lemoyne, he is a 1990, centremen, 6'00 170, blazing speed, good 2-way player and had 48 pts in 40 games this year in AAA.
But Deschamps isnt really an off the board pick...so im thinking that isnt likely, but he would be a good pick for you guys if indeed you take him.

Lala, where do you see Michael Kirkpatrick going to? or JM Leblanc? Halifax will take Kirkpatrick 54th overall Him and Halifax had an agreement last season but Halifax couldnt acquire a 4th or 5th rd pick at the draft, no one wanted to deal. Kirkpatrick turned down inetrview requests from all teams last season and this season...he is headed NCAA, apparently. Jean-Marc Leblanc...i think we had him 5th round back in FEB, and in the Guide we listed him as an "other 1991" He is a good 2-way player, nothing flashy, good speed, small, avg offense.

I just hope that they rocket are able to find someone who can step in and contribute right away. if that means going for a 17 year old then go for it.

Do you think that the Rocket will give Parker Deighan (Dman from PEI) a good look.......perhaps for their 2nd pick?

I really don't think that the Rocket will take a defenseman in the first few rounds. I believe that with 3 17 year olds already in that position that they feel like they have enough youth...and I think that if they get deep enough into the draft where they would take him.....he will be long gone.
Heres a thought on their first pick though. Devon MacAusland suggests that he is going Jr A this year....but...he is from PEI originally....and I heard that the Rocket already know exactly who they are taking.......perhaps there is a possibility that he is their guy!!

I agree that we have some solid youth on D, but just wanted to throw it out their. Can't see the Rocket being able to lure Devon, but if for some reason that they did.......kudos to the brass. However, im sure that he is in fact heading to school...and not playing the "bluff" card.....unless Moncton throws some $$ at him. Devon is a player with top 5 skill, but his size is the killer for him. Great team player and willing to do what it takes to win. If they could land him, people will be very happy. I still would like to see the Rocket go after Bourque.......he would fit in nice on our 3rd line this season.

Would be nice to get Devon MacAusland but NCAA bluff will keep many teams away. MacAusland, Anthony and Leblanc will all end up in the big market teams, I predict Hailifax, Moncton and Quebec. Deighan would be nice, if he is still available with pick #65 I'd take him but I expect him to go before that.

List of picks the Rocket currently hold....... .I think. Pick#11 Pick #27 No pickPick #61 and #65 Pick #83 Pick #92 and #101 Pick #119 Pick #137 and #142 Pick #155 and #157 Pick #173 Pick #191 Pick #209 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, they have 15 picks in the 12 rounds. Also, should we expect the Rocket to make any moves draft day........besides the obvious Boutin deal?

Personally I would like to see the Rocket try and package Boutin and a 4th for an 18 yr old forward.
Preferably someone who could be a solid 3rd line guy and potentially move up to the 2nd if needed.
That way we could have:
Walker-Morrison-Latal Locke-Doyle-Euro (hopefully good enough) New Forward-Lachaine-Cliche/McKinley Paynter-Snowie-Draft pick-Cliche/McKinley
Its not that I think that Cliche/McKinley won't be good enough. It is just that right now we have question marks regarding if Locke can consistently produce, will our Euro be a bust and if Cliche/McKinley are BOTH ready to be 3rd line players. Adding a reliable forward into the mix simply provides some insurance.

not great forward depth when looked at that way, another reason we should have gotten a 20 year old scorer imo
