Not sure what to think about the Rocket pick.
MacLean was not a name that was being talked about, at all....
Thats why they are the scouts, and Im not. :-)

so he is expected to go to ncaa? our turnnnn So he says........but many say it was a bluff Hodge is reporting in this morning's T&T that SJ has an agreement with Anthony in place ... so it appears he will report.

The Q has to do something about trying to restore some integrity to the draft. I mean what happend to 4 of the top ranked prospects.
Leblanc (Ranked 2nd went 18th) Anthony (Ranked 3rd went 10th) Brown (Ranked 4th went 15th) MacAusland (Ranked 7th went 35th)
And out of that group Moncton was able to grab to of the top players with the 15th and 35th picks how fair is that.
And if those 4 go top 10 like they should have the Rocket have the opportunity to select one of Bonneau, Gilbert & Bourque like we should have been able to do.

Didn't the Rocket have any picks in the 1st two rounds ? You guys had every opportunity to draft these kids. Just because they are drafted doesn't mean they will report.

Moncton has drafted players in the past they could not convince to report ... its still a gamble in all respects. Look at it this way ... Moncton may have wasted two picks ... leaving two other players open to be drafted ... perhaps making your next selection a little better. Brown has indicated that he will play in the Q but wants an educational package ... everybody knew that. MacAusland has said he is going NCAA ... he is only 5'6" and feels his size is better suited for NCAA since he will probably not play pro after that ... the education will do him better. Money doesn't change his size. And if he waits until he is 21 to start university (fulltime) then he will be 3 yrs behind everybody else. NCAA is likely the better choice for him. I like the Brown pick ... not so fond of the MacAusland pick.

Any details on the Boutin trade? Where did he go and what did we get? I wasn't listening to the audio but the Rocket acquired Vdo's 5th Round (87th overall) which they used to grab a goalie who was ranked to be a mid-4th. Not sure if anything else was involved in the deal.
