Well it's almost that time of year again when the lineup for this years festival of lights should be announced shortly..
anyone hear any rumors on who is performing this year??
I heard they have all bands signed and booked and ready to go but have only heard one band name mentioned so far...I'll hold off and see if anyone else mentions this band before I say it but it is a good one. Going to be hard to top last years lineup....

The only name I've heard thusfar is Hedley. All I hope is that they do switch up the lesser known bands and don't get the Trews back or something. I mean they are good, but how many times can you see them?

Hedley is playing the Confed center shortly so I can't see them coming back for the festival of lights but who knows...
I am not sure about the first night of concerts but rumor and this is sctrictly a rumor but from a half-decent source has Queens of the Stone Age opening for the Foo Fighters for the main event...
could very well not be true but could seem plausible as FF and QOTSA are playing some dates together mid-late June....

HAHAHA maybe that Hedley concert is what I heard then. I am out in Calgary after all. By the time information gets to me, it could have changed 6 times! As for those opening acts, I'm glad I'm sticking around here for the Stampede instead of the Festival. No offense but those bands aren't exactly what I PERSONALLY would consider exciting news! Now if we could get Jay Z or Sean Paul then I'd consider skipping the Stampede .... mmmmm maybe not still!

I was actually kidding ... but even if they could afford either of these two, PEI would have a nervous BREAKDOWN when they took the stage. The residents around the area complain now as it is and the acts are relatively clean. Wow, it would be priceless!

Queens of the stone age would be awesome, Ive seen them perform live on tv and heard they are excellent live. If you dont know the song "Little Sister", download it, its great (legally of course). The Foo's always give a high energy show and have plenty of hits to make for a good concert. Grohl is an awesome performer. Im not a huge fan of their most recent 3-4 hits, but Im a fan of the older stuff.

They put on a good show and they have a pretty cool sound. I certainly like them better then some other bands coming out of Quebec (ahem, Arcadefire, *snores*).
