It was an interesting draft to watch, especially seeing where Esposito and Cherepanov would go after dropping so much. It looked like it was very hard for them to sit through that, but I think it worked out well for the two of them in the end.
Alot of people thought Montreal would have taken him, but Esposito looked happy to be taken by the Penguins instead. Not a knock against Montreal, but I think his style of play is better suited for the Penguins and there wouldn't be as much pressure on him like there would be in Montreal. Now that the draft is over with and the pressure that goes along with it being a draft year, perhaps Esposito can put this past season behind him and develop the potential that he has shown in the past.
Good to see MacMillan get picked by the Ducks, they are a team that is patient with their prospects and are good at developing players. Not a surprise to see Vorachek go 7th, first thing I thought of was he and Brule would make good linemates. Perron managed to crack the first round, amazing considering how far he has come in such a short time.
Looking forward to the second day in the draft to see where/if Lafleur is taken and perhaps even Haddad who was being scouted this year.
