It took a weird hop over his stick, not really an excuse to miss it but at least its not all his fault. I don't know why he felt the need to skate it so far, he should have shot it long before that.

He also said today on sportsnet that that play pretty much sums up Stefan's career.
Says he's never played hard on the puck ever at any point in the NHL

I think that it would be embarrassing to skate in from the blueline untouched with an open net and not be able to score, then have the other team go back up ice and tie the game with 2 seconds left. The puck hopped over his stick just after he was going from his forehand to his backhand, why go to your backhand with an empty net and no one around you? Bad hop or not, it was a soft play which almost cost his team the game......Ferraro was right
