I don't mind the shootout.......in the reg season.
I think it would be exciting for the fans......
Nothing better then a Penalty shot.....
One of those things where imo you either like it........or you hate it.......
I like it...

I don't mind it either...It will be nice to get rid of ties in Hockey...no other major sports end a game in a tie...not Football, Basketball or Baseball which I think makes it more exciting and interesting...I don't see any problem with shootouts deciding a game after OT can't....

I'd prefer hockey rather than a shootout.

I like the idea especially if they remove the 1 point for an overtime loss.
Plus it might even give players a little more motivation during overtime to try and end it, if they know that only one team will be getting the two points.
As for format I would recommend doing a one for one shoot out with players only getting one shot each. That way fans get to see the high profile players go but at the same time there is still a chance that the decision might come down to a 2nd line player.

I like shootouts for the regular season as well
after the conventional overtime method is played first of course

I would love to see shootouts in the regular season, but for sure not anywhere near the playoffs...you should never decide a championship with a shootout

If they're in the regular season you'll be deciding playoff spots with them and I hate the thoughts of that.
