Rocket game against Finnish team gets cancelled The Guardian
The P.E.I. Rocket reworked its 2007 exhibition schedule after a game against a Finnish junior team was cancelled because of a lack of sponsorship for the Finns.
The game was scheduled for Aug. 31 at the Civic Centre
That game was to be included in the three pre-season home games for season ticket holders.
The games are now Aug. 29 against Cape Breton, Aug. 30 against Halifax and Sept. 5 against Moncton. Game times are 7 p.m. at the Civic Centre.
Two P.E.I. exhibition games against St. John’s Aug. 19-20 at the Wellness Centre in Summerside aren’t included in the package.
The Rocket opens the regular season at home on Sept. 14 against Halifax. Rocket season ticket holders have until Friday to secure seats for next season or the seats will be released and be offered for resale.

Thats too bad. I would have loved to see how we stacked up. If its the same team as last year ... we had a split with them with lineups that included players that did not make the team. They had good speed and weren't afraid to play physical but they weren't anything special. I'd much rather watch a pre-season game vs a rival as these games didn't have the same animosity as a Wildcats vs Rocket game would.
