As per a request made to me, ill post my thoughts on the Rocket draft..
Round 1: Brandon MacLean, C, CH -- Honestly, im not a big MacLean fan. Hes skilled and smart but he isnt very graceful or mobile. He should be a good player but i think he was taken too early, just my opinion.
Round 2: Brandon Street, C, TrP -- Funny thing is you took Street where I had MacLean ranked and you took MacLean where I had Street ranked lol I like Street, but I also hate parts of his game, if that makes sense. He is ultra skilled but disappears at times.
Round 3: Parker Deighan, D, SS JR A -- Cant say i was surprised when you guys took him..good pick, hes a strong skater and a smart player, he should fill the #7 role in the minimum next year.
Round 4: Sebastien Gingras, D, LSL Esp -- Not a fan of his. He is small, and honestly, i dont think his talent level warrented him to be drafted as an offensive dman.
Round 5: Tanner Manson, W, HAL -- Surprised he was picked...i thought hed be picked before xmas, but post xmas he kind of fell off the table in my opinion. Still, he is the best manson brother in terms of skating and skill, and if he can fight like his older brothers it will be a pick well spent.
Round 5: Jon Waye, G, Fred -- Good pick, big kid, athletic, strong glove hand, a project.
Round 6: Samuel Courcelles, W, LAUR -- Bad pick...the kid is a cancer and most teams had him crossed off their list before the draft started. On the ice hes good, but off the ice too many question marks.
Round 7: Jeremiah-Brien Coon-Come, W, AMO -- Good kid, strong skater, built like a tank, good hands.
Round 7: Pier-Luc Martel, D, GD Esp -- Good pick, mobile offensive dman, late bday will allow him to develop 1 more year in Midget.
Round 8: Alex Peck, G, Web Esp -- Big goalie, played all season in Espoir but played every playoff game for LSL Lions AAA and did well. He is a late, so he is able to play Midget again.
Round 8: Michael Snow, D, Hal Jr A -- Steal...17 teams will regret passing on him...small but plays defensivly well and has a good stick.
Round 9: Nathan Desroches, C, SS Jr A -- Not a fan of his...he has plateaued, he was amazing at 14, but didnt develop.
Round 9: Jordan Burke, W, CH -- Good skills, but soft as a marshmallow and a bad attitude.
Round 10: Olivier Morin, W, Lev -- Good skilled player but not a great skater, offensivly gifted though.
Round 11: Ryan Mitchell, W, Dart -- Decent skills, strong player, but a very poor skater. If he could skate well he would have been a top 7 round pick.
