I have to agree that I'd totally rather see Sam Roberts AGAIN, than see Nelly ... unless of course she took Timbaland and Justin Timberlake with her, then we're talkin And most Canadian bands blow too. Not a fan of any of the new bands that have emerged at all. And obviously the Hip aren't the old Hip anymore, given last years shiteous performance. I may have been shit canned but I do remember they sucked, and didn't even play their best songs!!! So boo to getting them again. And we've all seen Sam Roberts .. altho personally I can never get enough of the Man Cub, especially from about 3 rows back, talking to a "second round Rimouski draft pick", while the puff puff was being passed around, and with a Deer as my sidekick!! Really though, there isn't too many Canadian acts we could bring in that wouldn't suck. I do agree with OLP though, whoever suggested them.

Charlottetown takes another step Aerosmith's way CBC News
Charlottetown city council voted Monday night to pay for police and fire services for a major concert this summer, although there is no band confirmed and no price tag attached to those services.
'There's no dollar figure. It's vague and ambiguous.'— Coun. Mitchell Tweel
Rumours have been spreading for weeks that Aerosmith would play Charlottetown this summer.
Just a few details stand in the way of an appearance in Charlottetown by Aerosmith this summer, says concert promoter David Carver.
Concert promoter David Carver, who brought the Black Eyed Peas to the city in September, said he is just a few steps away from following up that act with Aerosmith this year.
"Aerosmith is without a doubt one of the top three concert-selling and album-selling bands ever," Carver told the council meeting.
"I'm getting e-mails from Louisiana, California, New York — people are coming for this show."
It's not uncommon for cities to pay for emergency services for major concerts, but Carver was charged for the overtime put in by police officers and firefighters at the Black Eyed Peas concert last year, a bill that came to $17,000. Continue Article
City council approved the expenditure in a 5-3 vote.
Carver said it was a worthwhile investment by the city. If he pulls it off, Charlottetown would be one of just three North American stops for Aerosmith in a 2007 world tour.
Coun. Mitchell Tweel is an Aerosmith fan, but he voted against Monday night's resolution because no price tag was attached to the motion.

"If you look at the resolution, it's open-ended," said Tweel.
"There's no dollar figure. It's vague and ambiguous. I mean it could be 50,000, it could be 75,000, it could be 100,000."
Carver said there are just a few details to be worked out, including an aspect of the concert that he said could showcase Charlottetown to the rest of the world.

My girlfriend got an email from their fan club similar to this one and saying the same thing. Playing in the territories sounds a bit farfetched to me (Nunavut?!) so I'll take it with a grain of salt. The reason they had to send out the email was because NME Magazine (a very respected entertainment mag from the UK, comparable to Rolling Stone for the US) released there "tour schedule". Problem was that the schedule they released was the White Stripes tour dates from 1995....

Aerosmith concert, confirmed earlier by The Guardian, has now been posted on the fan club's web siteThe Guardian Aerosmith's 2007 world tour has taken one more step towards Charlottetown. The legendary rock band's fan club, Aero Force One, has added the P.E.I. capital to the band's list of concerts dates this summer on its official website (www.aerosmith.com) www.aerosmith.com/tour.cfmHowever, David Carver, the promoter behind the proposed Aerosmith concert in Charlottetown, says there is no officially announcement yet. According to the fan club's web site and as first reported by The Guardian in Feb.24 the band will perform in Charlottetown on Saturday, July 21. The concert has been dubbed Blast at the Beach, the same name used at last year's concert at the CDPEC which featured the Pussycat Dolls and Black Eyed Peas. There was no immediate word on when tickets will go on sale. City council recently supported the concert by a 5-3 vote.
