Well it's not 100% official yet, I've been my usual procrastinatory self in terms of asking for Friday afternoon off of work and other necessary plannings regarding this coming weekend, but some friends and I are LIKELY coming up for the double-header of games at the CCC this Friday and Saturday.
We look forward to back-to-back games in the middle of a great month to watch Q hockey against an opponent with whom we figure to match up against pretty closely.
We look forward to meeting up with the usual crew and having some good times. This is a given and hardly even needs mention.
We look forward to and suggest a fall ball hockey game at the Bunbury Rink on Saturday afternoon. Even though it's relatively short notice with it already being Tuesday, we'd love to see a great turnout for this game, and hope to get a really good game going. The last two times we attempted to play ball hockey in PEI were pretty much failures, but the first time (July 2005) was a classic encounter that's still remembered fondly today. Let's really try to have a great game this time.......... it shouldn't be that hard, as October might be the best month of them all for ball hockey.
We also look forward to drinking all of your beer, charming all of your women, and stealing 2-4 of your guys' points in the standings.
Anyone with any solid partying/social gathering ideas, or anyone interested in playing ball hockey on Sat afternoon, respond away in this thread.

Too bad you won't be around for Sat nite Score. Will you be around for anything on Friday night even?
Also, does anyone have any suggestions as to where we should get our seats for? I want real good seats this time. I don't think I've ever been to a game at the CCC where I've gotten a real good seat.

I don't think I've ever been to a game at the CCC where I've gotten a real good seat. There are only a few good seats and they're already taken by season ticket holders. Just don't sit close to the glass is about the only advise I can offer other than that good luck!

Just don't sit close to the glass is about the only advise I can offer other than that good luck! I avoid close to the glass like the plague if I can help it. Worst possible place to watch a hockey game, in any rink. Can't see anything develop! Almost not worth making the trip up to see the game if you're stuck by the glass. The couple of times that we've made a roadie but couldn't get anything better than by the glass, I at that point officially stopped calling it a hockey road trip and just wrote it off as a party road trip.

WOO HOO, trip is now official!
Now we need to get tickets. Can anyone suggest the best means of doing this? I've heard horror stories about the CCC box office; are they still true? What would be the best way - phone? Internet?

It'd be kinda hard to have ball hockey without you so we could maybe revolve its starting time around your return from the golf tourney. Any time frame? As well, we'll need you guys to do some recruiting if ball hockey is to be any kind of decent game. There's only going to be three of us coming I think- me Pat and Steve (well he was interested last I checked). You and Score would make five. Still not enough. Think you guys can recruit 3-5 other guys? Anyone else on this board interested in playing?

Glad to hear you guys are coming for sure Deer, Pat and Steve.....Of course drinks and stuff can happen at my place if u like.
I would think you might want to try the seats around section 7/8....Stay out of Section 9 its the Brad Richards kiddie section and section 22 is the birthday party section....and I know of two parties there Friday night.
I have my seats down by the glass in section 21 and i actually like it down there. But that is where I have always had my seats!
You won't have any problem getting tickets, why dont' you wait till you get to town, take a jaunt down to the CCC and sit in some seats at the rink and pick some that you like, its usually always open during the day......Shouldn't be too hard to get tickets where you like, attendance has been a bit poor to say the least.....

A few people are telling me that we might be just as well off waiting till we get there to get some seats. So maybe that's just what we'll do. I just really want to get good ones, always seem to get stuck with shit seats at the CCC. I'd also like to publicly thank "Fireside" for her beyond the call of duty hospitality! After our total destruction of her place back on Canada Day weekend, I wouldn't blame her if she never had us over again, but she went and opened her door to us again for this weekend. Thanks very much!

Home in Sydney now, and just wanted to post to say that I had a really good time this weekend in PEI.
Really enjoyed the two games even if the games themselves were both "just OK". I love watching games in visiting rinks as a bit of a change of pace, especially considering how few home games we've had so far this season. We had great seats and a great view of the game, and I for one enjoyed myself thoroughly.
Wanna say thanks to all the PEI-based friends who as always made sure great times were had by all. You folks are always worth the trip, here's to hoping lots of you make it down here for the doubleheader in Sydney in December.
Wanna say thank you to a certain executive who took the time to introduce himself and even buy my friends and I a beer- great hospitality, and it was a pleasure meeting you.
And I want to save the biggest thank you for "Fireside", who once again went totally beyond the call of duty in hosting my friends and I. Even had my back when my wallet was on the missing list. Thanks a lot for everything!
Really fun trip, I was looking forward to it and it totally delivered. Just wanted to post to acknowledge the good times!
