Calgary Flames winner Darren McCarty, who filed for bankruptcy in April, is auctioning off some of his most cherished possessions.
C. B. Kaye & Associates will be conducting the auction on November 5th in Fraser, Michigan.
Among the items listed for auction were the three Stanley Cup rings McCarty won as a member of the Detroit Red Wings, two replica Staney Cup trophies and various jerseys, photos and other momentos of McCarty's career.
Other items include McCarty's Harley Davidson motorcycle, a Corvette, a Crownline motorboat, a Ski-Doo and nine televisions.
In documents filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Detroit last April, McCarty listed assets of $1.9 million US and debts of $6.2 million.

OUCH!!!! That's rough. I can't believe they aren't letting him keep at least one of the rings. Unless he told them to go ahead and auction them all off. He doesn't seem to be the type to be overly concerned about possessions like that. I've never seen him with one of them on.

What a shame to give up Stanley Cup Rings. Every Canadian kid dreams of donning those things.
